If you’ve learned to fly at Werribee Model Aircraft Club, there’s a very good chance that Jonny Reuter played a part in your journey.
Jonny was one of the club’s most experienced and dedicated instructors. Over the years, he taught countless students how to fly, generously sharing his knowledge, patience and passion for model aviation.
For Jonny, instructing wasn’t simply about teaching someone how to control an aircraft — it was about encouraging people, building their confidence and helping them become part of the club.
Many of our members can look back on their early days at Werribee Model Aircraft Club and remember Jonny standing beside them, offering advice, encouragement and probably a few words to settle the nerves.
His contribution to the club was recognised with Life Membership, an honour that reflected the enormous amount of time and dedication he gave to Werribee Model Aircraft Club and its members.
Jonny’s passing is a great loss to our club, but his legacy will continue through the many pilots he taught and the friendships he made along the way.
Thank you, Jonny, for the countless hours you gave to our club and its members.
Your contribution will never be forgotten.
Fly High, Jonny. 🛩️ 1957-2026 🛩️
