The Werribee Model Aircraft Association (Club) has been flying high since the late 1960s – and we’re still going strong!
RC club with a rich legacy
What started out as a handful of mates meeting on a farm near Hogan’s and Tarneit Roads quickly grew into a full-blown club. Back then, it was all about simple fun: a few planes, a big open paddock, and plenty of laughs (plus the occasional crash!) and it still is!
By 1977, we were official – with our own badge, and our very first fly-in and fun festival. Over the years, we’ve moved runways a few times from farm fields, to RAAF grounds, and eventually to our current home at
67-95 McGrath Road, Werribee 3030.
Along the way, we’ve built more than just planes – we’ve built a community of aero modellers.
A club with a vision
At Werribee Model Aircraft Club, our skies are open to everyone — from curious newcomers to seasoned pilots with years of experience. We’re here to share knowledge, celebrate milestones, and enjoy the pure thrill of flying together. Whether you’re into high-speed jets, gliders, Heli’s, Drones or meticulously crafted scale models, you’ll find a warm welcome and plenty of support here. Our members are always ready to offer tips, cheer on your best flights, and laugh with you through those “Sketchy Landings” As we move into 2025 and beyond, we’re proud of our roots, excited about the future, and always ready to help new flyers take off. We’re more than just a club — we’re a community.
